Nancy O'Dell's initial job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. Alongside her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
